In Shymkent, 13 billion tenge has been allocated to feed 137,000 schoolchildren

According to 24.kz, the city's education department said that parents of pupils can now come each week and see what their children are being fed.

"We have reached such an agreement. However, they must have health passports with them, confirming that their state of health allows it and poses no threat to the health and lives of the children. And they must be in appropriate attire – gowns, caps, as required," said the head of the department, Nurgul Shamshiyeva.

In addition, canteen managers have been sent a recommended weekly menu. This is supposedly to eliminate so-called "gastronomic experiments".

Currently, a commission is assessing the readiness of canteens to receive pupils. It is noted that prosecutors identified violations related to the provision of services without the appropriate veterinary and sanitary certificates, but the shortcomings were promptly rectified.

Recall that in May it became known that heads of kindergartens in the capital submitted applications for food products they did not purchase, and also issued fictitious documents. The money stolen in this way was subsequently transferred to the account of the director of the LLP. The damage was estimated at 35 million tenge

As a result, the court of first instance sentenced the heads to 3 years' imprisonment. The director of the LLP was sentenced to 4 years' imprisonment

Later, the appeal court, taking into account a number of mitigating circumstances, replaced the custodial sentence for the heads with a restriction of liberty.
