In the East Kazakhstan region, the case of the head of the ecology department, Daniyar Aliyev, who is accused of bribery, has been submitted to court.
According to Inbusiness.kz, the preventive measure of pre-trial detention for the accused has been left unchanged.
Also in the dock alongside him are Maksat Zhurkabayev, who is accused of acting as an intermediary, and Konstantin Dluzhevsky, who is accused of offering a bribe.
It will be recalled that the arrest of Daniyar Aliyev was reported in December 2023. In November, it was reported that the Anti-Corruption Agency was conducting a pre-trial investigation into his deputy, Rauan Turarov.
In July of this year, Anti-Corruption officers also arrested the acting head of the East Kazakhstan region's ecology department, Mamai Butabayev, while he was receiving a bribe of 10 million tenge.
