In the Akmola Region, the office of the mayor of the Burabay District nearly doubled the price when purchasing a service apartment.
According to the press service of the regional prosecutor's office, this year the mayor's office planned a state procurement for the purchase of a 3-room apartment with an area of 40-60 sq. m, for the sum of 30 million tenge.
At the same time, on a property sales website, apartments with similar characteristics in Shchuchinsk are listed at prices ranging from 10.5 million tenge to 22.5 million tenge, which averages 16 million tenge.
"Thus, in violation of the principles of current legislation and the Code, the amount of the planned procurement was unjustifiably inflated. Based on the supervisory act, changes were made to the state procurement plan, and the planned procurement was adjusted taking into account the average market price of apartments", the statement reads.
