A video is circulating on social media showing a man beating a police officer. It has emerged that the incident took place in Taraz in 2023.
According to Ulysmedia.kz, the investigation into the case has been completed, but the materials have still not been sent to court.
The suspect in the beating is a deputy of the Maslikhat of the Merken district of the Zhambyl region, Tauirzhan Altynbaev.
Regional police told journalists that the case has been sent to the prosecutor.
"This incident took place in 2023. The pre-trial investigation is now complete, and the parties have been acquainted with all the case materials. In accordance with the requirements of Article 300 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the criminal case, along with the indictment, has been sent to the prosecutor of the city of Taraz for legal assessment and further referral to the court," police reported.
