In Taraz, in broad daylight, two adult men attempted to forcibly put a 13-year-old girl into a car. The incident took place in a public area and sparked outrage on social media. The situation was prevented by a passer-by.
HOW THE EVENTS UNFOLDED
According to eyewitnesses, two unknown men approached the girl and tried to push her into the car. At that moment, a man at a nearby bus stop noticed what was happening and intervened. The alleged attackers then fled the scene, reports Centralmedia24.kz.
Video of the incident spread on social media.
POLICE RESPONSE
The Police Department of the Zhambyl Region confirmed the incident. The department stated that the suspects were apprehended immediately.
“A pre-trial investigation has been launched into this incident. Police officers promptly arrived at the scene. The suspects have been detained and placed in a temporary detention facility,” the police reported.
Currently, investigators are establishing all the circumstances of the incident. The classification of the case and other procedural details are not being disclosed.
