The authorities in Karaganda spent 45 million tenge on decorative structures at the entrance to the city.

According to ekaraganda.kz, some local residents thought the decorations looked somewhat similar to the capital's supports for the LRT

The akimat, in turn, reported that these are actually decorative flower canopies called pergolas.

They also plan to add lighting to them. According to the akimat, one structure costs 4.5 million tenge, and a total of 10 will be installed.

It has become known that this year, 340 million tenge is set to be spent on the decoration of the city's Kazybekbi district (where the pergolas were installed). Over the course of three years, they plan to allocate 950 million tenge for this.
