A number of employees of the executive bodies of the Almaty region have been brought to disciplinary responsibility following a state audit conducted by the Supreme Audit Chamber (SAC).

According to the press service of the department, the SAC completed its inspection activities in the region in May. As a result, staff identified a number of violations of budgetary and other legislation.

"As part of the implementation of the SAC directive, 17 officials of the region's executive bodies have been brought to disciplinary responsibility for the violations committed. An official investigation is underway into the head of one of the region's regional departments," the statement says.

Furthermore, the Akim of the Almaty region approved an Action Plan to eliminate the violations identified during the audit. It is reported that its implementation is ongoing.

Recall that previously, following an internal audit, the director of the branch of the RSE "Kazvodkhoz" in the Zhambyl region and the head of the Asa production site were dismissed from their positions.

In August, during an audit in the construction sector, the SAC identified financial violations amounting to 1.3 billion tenge, inefficient planning and use of budget funds totalling more than 14.2 billion tenge, as well as economic losses and lost profits of 530 million tenge.
