Fake instructions on unemployment benefits are being spread on social media

In social media, messages are circulating about an allegedly legal way to receive unemployment benefits after the end of parental leave. The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Kazakhstan (the Ministry of Labour) has stated that such a scheme has no legal basis. The department warns: the dissemination of false information and attempts to obtain payments on this basis may lead to liability.

About 400 SIM cards were seized from a female resident of the Kostanay region as part of a criminal case.

Police officers have identified a 26-year-old resident of Kostanay who, according to the investigation, activated SIM cards and provided access to messenger accounts to third parties. During a search, law enforcement seized around 400 SIM cards, as well as mobile devices. A criminal investigation has been launched into the fraud.

The lawyer has been convicted of fraud and incitement to bribery in Pavlodar.

In Pavlodar, a court has sentenced a lawyer from the Pavlodar Regional Bar Association, who was found guilty of fraud and incitement to bribery. According to the prosecution, he received 6.1 million tenge from a client under the pretext of transferring the funds to officials. The court imposed a sentence of 3 years and 3 months' imprisonment.
