The Government of Kazakhstan has amended the procedure for applying the moratorium on the creation of quasi-public sector entities. The decree introduces changes to the rules for establishing such organisations by order of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, supplementing the procedure with a requirement to obtain positive conclusions from the relevant sectoral and antitrust authorities.

The prosecutor's office has reduced water tariffs for residents of Semey.

The Abai region prosecutor's office identified violations in the implementation of the investment programme of the state utility "Semey Vodokanal". The enterprise received income at inflated tariffs but failed to carry out some of its 2025 measures. Following the intervention of the prosecutor's office, tariffs for water supply and sanitation services for residents of Semey were reduced by up to 12% under a temporary compensatory tariff in 2026.

More than $2.5 billion has been accumulated for the children of Kazakhstan under the "National Fund for Children" programme.

The total amount of savings has exceeded $2.5 billion. As a result of 2026, each programme participant was allocated $130.71.

A minor schoolboy received arrears of 575,000 tenge and was awarded a monthly allowance of 46,783 tenge. Police identified 18 foreigners working illegally in East Kazakhstan Oblast

During a preventive police operation, officers identified 18 foreign nationals illegally working in Ust-Kamenogorsk. Seven individuals repeatedly violated migration legislation and were deported from Kazakhstan with a five-year entry ban. The employer will also be held accountable.

Illegal mining farm discovered in Temirtau

The investigation established that the man had organised a mining farm without a licence and obtained cryptocurrency worth approximately 185 million tenge. The court imposed a sentence of one year’s imprisonment and confiscated the equipment.

Transfer of Burabay National Park lands to Marzhikpayev ruled unlawful

The court established that the land plots in the village of Burabay, transferred into private ownership and used for the construction of hotels, are located within the boundaries of the Burabay State National Nature Park. Local executive authorities had no legal grounds for their transfer. Transactions dating back to 2002 have been declared unlawful. The court’s decision has not yet entered into legal force.

The Astana ambulance service is being investigated in connection with a case of embezzlement worth 850 million tenge.

According to the prosecutor's office, the damage to the state amounted to 850 million tenge. The case against four employees, including the station director, has been sent to court.

The Anti-Corruption Service of the National Security Committee has shut down a channel for the illegal import of goods across the state border of Kazakhstan. By court order, an official from the state revenue authorities of the West Kazakhstan Region and a resident of the capital have been detained. According to the investigation, the damage to the state amounted to 1.9 billion tenge.

The Economic Court of the Abai Region considered a claim by the State Municipal Enterprise "Semey Vodokanal" regarding access to engineering networks and the demolition of structures above the sewage collector. The claim was dismissed, as the emergency had been resolved. However, the court identified serious violations in the design and construction of the building and forwarded the materials to the prosecutor of the Abai Region.
