At a dairy plant in the village of Zhibek Zholy, Arshaly District, Akmola Region, a fuel-air mixture explosion occurred, resulting in injuries to two employees of the enterprise. The men suffered serious burns and were hospitalised.
WHAT HAPPENED
According to sinegor.kz, a fuel-air mixture explosion was recorded at the facility. No structural damage occurred, and no subsequent fire was reported.
It has been preliminarily determined that the incident may have been caused by a gas leak from the warehouse, where fuel is supplied from the enterprise's underground tank.
CONDITION OF THE VICTIMS
As a result of the mixture explosion, two workers sustained burn shock and thermal burns covering up to 40% of their bodies, including their hands, legs, and face.
The injured were promptly taken to a hospital in Astana.
