In Semey, after the ignition of a gas-air mixture and the subsequent explosion of a gas tanker, the fire spread to a car wash and two private residential houses. Two people were hospitalised with burns, and the fire has been completely extinguished.
WHAT HAPPENED
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES), in the evening of 22 September on Sosnovaya Street in the Severny district, there was an ignition of a gas-air mixture followed by an explosion of a gas tanker.
After the explosion, the fire spread to a single-storey car wash building and two private residential houses.
As a result of the incident, two people suffered burns and were hospitalised.
HOW MANY PERSONNEL WERE INVOLVED IN EXTINGUISHING THE FIRE
The fire has been completely extinguished. Personnel and resources from the Department of Emergency Situations (DES) of the Abai region, the Department of Police (DP) of the Abai region, ambulance crews and Zelenostroy LLP worked at the scene.
Around 90 people and 30 units of equipment were deployed to extinguish the fire. MES personnel worked under an elevated response level, a firefighting headquarters was set up at the scene, and an uninterrupted water supply was ensured.
