In Astana, police officers stopped the illegal transportation of a large batch of meat products. The owner of the products has been brought to administrative responsibility for the violation, and the seized meat has been sent for examination.
HOW THE VIOLATION WAS DETECTED
According to the city of Astana Police Department (PD), the violation was detected during a preventive operational measure (POM) "No to Livestock Theft". Police officers stopped a DAF brand truck for inspection.
In the back, 26 cattle carcasses and 5 horse carcasses were found. As law enforcement established, the products were being transported without accompanying documents and mandatory veterinary stamps certifying their safety.
WHO HAS BEEN HELD RESPONSIBLE
The police identified the owner of the cargo — a 48-year-old man. He has been brought to administrative responsibility for violating veterinary requirements.
