In Astana, police officers uncovered an illegal meat processing workshop operating in a private house. During the inspection, more than 3 tonnes of meat products of unknown origin and quality were seized, and the owners of the production facility were held accountable in accordance with current legislation.
WHAT WAS FOUND DURING THE INSPECTION
According to Polisia.kz, the illegal production was carried out without any permits. The finished products were supplied to private shops and cafes in Astana.
During operational and preventive measures, police officers discovered over 3 tonnes of meat products of unknown origin and quality.
WHAT VIOLATIONS WERE IDENTIFIED
It is reported that the products were manufactured and stored with gross violations of sanitary standards. In particular, the temperature regime was not observed, and the meat was kept in unsanitary conditions.
Some of the products showed signs of spoilage, including a sharp characteristic smell, the presence of flies, and other indications of being unfit for consumption.
HOW THE INSPECTION CONCLUDED
As a result of the measures taken, all discovered meat products were destroyed. The owners of the illegal workshop were held accountable in accordance with current legislation.
The police noted that thanks to the timely intervention of officers, potentially dangerous products did not go on sale.
