The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has reported that across the territory of Kazakhstan, more than 20 streamers have been held accountable for disseminating unlawful content on the internet and social media. The violations cited include the use of profanity, the display of indecent behaviour, dangerous pranks, and insulting other people.
WHAT DATA THE MIA PROVIDED
Work to identify and suppress the dissemination of unlawful content is being carried out under the principle of “Law and Order”. As the department notes, more than 20 streamers who breached the requirements of legislation have already been held accountable.
The MIA stated that some authors of online broadcasts, in their quest to gain views, likes and donations, used profanity, displayed indecent behaviour, staged dangerous pranks and insulted other people. The department also drew attention to the fact that such content becomes accessible to a wide audience, including minors.
WHAT DECISIONS THE COURTS MADE
A 48-year-old resident of Shymkent, Yerbol Duisenbayev, used profanity during a live broadcast on TikTok. By court decision, he has been arrested for 10 days.
A 44-year-old resident of Taldykorgan, Gulmira Kassenova, breached public order during a live broadcast on TikTok by using profanity. It is noted that she had previously been held accountable for a similar offence. The court imposed an administrative fine on her.
Aslan Amantayev, 26, from Pavlodar, used profanity while behind the wheel of a car during a live broadcast and drove the vehicle without wearing a seatbelt. By court decision, he has been arrested for 20 days.
In Turkestan, Bayan Shankeyeva, known by the nicknames “bayan_kyz”, “fatima.sh0000” and “fatima_s003”, has been held accountable. According to MIA data, during live broadcasts she used profanity and displayed aggressive behaviour. The court imposed an administrative fine on her.

The department will continue its work to identify unlawful content in the digital space and hold accountable those who breach public order. The ministry emphasised that the requirements of the law apply both to behaviour in real life and on the internet.
