In the centre of Aktobe, a bag containing the body of a 55-year-old man was discovered at a rubbish dump. Law enforcement agencies are investigating the circumstances of his death.
HOW THE BAG WITH THE BODY WAS FOUND
According to KTK TV channel, the gruesome discovery was made at one of the rubbish dumps in the city centre. Local residents said the bag had been lying among the waste for several days.
Local street cleaner Bolat Zhumagaliyev said that at first he did not pay much attention to the find. According to him, a strong, unpleasant smell was coming from the bag, which prevented him from getting closer.
"It lay there until yesterday. A terrible smell was coming from it. Apparently, the body had already decomposed. I wanted to look inside the bag, but because of the stench, I didn't get close. I thought it was rotten meat," Zhumagaliyev said.
Later, police officers arrived at the scene and restricted access to the rubbish dump.

The Aktobe Regional Police Department confirmed the discovery of the body.
According to law enforcement agencies, the bag contained the body of a 55-year-old man. Other details of the case have not yet been disclosed.
The department noted that a criminal case has been opened in connection with the discovery of the body.
"A criminal case has been opened regarding the discovery of the corpse. A range of necessary investigative and operational search activities is being carried out," the police reported.
Law enforcement agencies also urged residents not to spread unconfirmed rumours and to wait for official information.
