Kazakhstan supported the new Constitution in a referendum

At the national referendum on the adoption of the new version of the Constitution of Kazakhstan, 10,388 polling stations operated in all regions of the country and abroad.

According to the Central Referendum Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 7,954,667 citizens, or 87.15% of voters, voted in favour of adopting the new version of the Constitution.

898,099 people voted against it.

9,127,192 citizens out of 12,482,613 eligible to vote took part in the vote. Turnout was 73.12%.

Thus, the referendum is deemed valid, as more than half of the citizens eligible to participate in the referendum took part in the vote.

The national referendum on the adoption of the new version of the Constitution took place on 15 March 2026.

According to preliminary data, the new version of the Constitution received the support of the majority of voters.
