A six-year-old child underwent emergency surgery at the city children's clinical hospital after doctors discovered several metal objects in his intestines. Medics removed a magnet, a screw and a hex nut.
HOW THE CHILD ENDED UP IN HOSPITAL
According to the mother, the child developed abdominal pain. No treatment was given at home, but the boy's condition did not improve over time — the abdominal pain persisted.
After this, an emergency medical team brought the child to the admissions department of the city children's clinical hospital.
WHAT THE EXAMINATION REVEALED
The duty surgeons examined the patient and ordered an X-ray of the abdominal cavity. The scan revealed the presence of foreign objects in the intestines.
Among the objects discovered were a magnet, a screw and a metal object, according to information from the medical facility.
After the instrumental examinations, the child was admitted to the 'Paediatric Surgery' department.
