An employee of the Atyrau Oil Refinery (AOR) inflicted bodily harm on himself after a conflict with management.
According to Ulysmedia.kz, the police department of the Atyrau region has opened a criminal case and is conducting investigative measures.
Official representative of the AOR, Zhandos Temirgali, stated that the incident allegedly occurred after a fourth-grade fitter refused to transfer to a new team of thermal insulators being formed at the repair and mechanical workshop (RMW).
The workshop head returned the employee to his previous team, submitting a memo regarding the refusal to transfer. The worker, dissatisfied with this decision, attempted to cause himself physical harm.
As reported, the victim has already been discharged from hospital, and his health is not in danger. The plant's management carried out preventive work and guaranteed the employee's job retention.
