Two people injured in a fire at a private house in the village of Algabas, Zhetysai district of the Turkestan region are on artificial lung ventilation (ALV).
According to the government press service, all necessary assistance is being provided to the families of the deceased. Three of those hospitalised are in intensive care.
It became known that by the time the rescuers arrived, one of the injured, born in 1986, had got out of the house by himself. His condition is assessed as serious, with burns to 12% of his body surface.
Two other injured people, born in 1991 and 2018, were rushed to hospital with burns to 30% and 11% of their body surface respectively; they are on a ventilator. A medical aviation team from Shymkent has flown to the scene to provide assistance.
It is noted that Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbayev has ordered:
- the akimat and the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection — to provide full financial assistance to the families of the deceased;
- the Ministry of Health — to monitor the condition of the injured;
- the Ministry of Internal Affairs — to oversee the progress of the pre-trial investigation into the deaths;
- the Ministry of Emergency Situations, together with the akimats — to conduct raids and inspections of residential areas. Check the condition of stove heating and rectify any identified violations.
Recall that earlier in the Turkestan region, a major fire occurred in a private two-storey house in the village of Algabas, Zhetysai district. 12 people died, including nine children.
