According to the press service of the Agency for Financial Monitoring (AFM), cashiers of Kazpost from 2021 to 2023, while providing services for processing personal documents, appropriated part of the paid state duty, and sent fake receipts with altered amounts to the migration police.

The damage to the state is estimated at more than 84 million tenge.

Recall that earlier the security service and the audit and control department of Kazpost JSC in a number of regions identified financial violations totalling 396.7 million tenge

In addition, it was reported that in the Turkestan region, a sentence was passed on a 39-year-old postal employee, Bolat Kerimkulov. He was accused of embezzling 69.8 million tenge at a branch of Kazpost JSC in the Kazygurt district.

The court found Kerimkulov guilty of embezzlement on an especially large scale and sentenced him to 8 years in prison. At the same time, the court issued a ruling to verify the legality of terminating the investigation against former accounting employees of the district post office branch.
