The Ekibastuz prosecutor's office has uncovered instances of incomplete and late tax payments by major enterprises in the region.
According to the press service of the Pavlodar region prosecutor's office, during equipment repairs, B. Nurzhanov Ekibastuz GRES-1 LLP unreasonably deducted amounts for goods, works and services not related to generating income.
"As a result, taxes totalling 421 million tenge were not paid," the statement said.
In addition, in the activities of Kazakhstan Wagon Building Company LLP, a decrease in product sales turnover was identified, which also affected budget revenues. The shortfall amounted to 550 million tenge.
"Following the supervisory report, the fiscal authorities carried out a desk audit and also organised administrative hearings with the participation of taxpayers," the statement said.
As a result, all identified violations were rectified, the enterprises fulfilled their tax obligations voluntarily, and the missing amounts were fully transferred to the state budget.
Recall that earlier, the State Revenue Department of the Pavlodar region revealed that Bogatyr Komir LLP had unlawfully applied a reduced corporate income tax (CIT) rate of 5% instead of the established 15%.
Following the audit, the company was issued a notice to pay additional CIT amounting to 777 million tenge.
