The State Revenue Committee (SRC) of the Ministry of Finance has acknowledged a technical glitch in the calculation of taxes for bloggers.
As reported by Bes.media citing the department, on 19 February the SRC withdrew 169 notices sent to 93 bloggers for a total of 9.8 billion tenge. Previously, the department had sent 1,014 notices to 594 bloggers.
The committee explained that the withdrawals were due to technical glitches in the sending and processing of documents.
"At present, work has been carried out to re-issue the withdrawn notices, taking into account the corrected technical errors", the statement reads.
Recall that earlier, SRC officials found that around 600 Kazakhstani bloggers had understated their income, failing to pay the state taxes on 53.3 billion tenge.
