The government has allocated 1.1 billion tenge from the Special State Fund for the construction of a sports complex in the village of Zhalagash, Kegen District, Almaty Region.

According to the press service of the department, the project is being implemented within the framework of the Law "On the Return of Illegally Acquired Assets to the State."

"The sports complex is intended for training sessions in general physical fitness and for holding competitions. The project includes several halls for boxing, wrestling, and other sports," the statement reads.

It is noted that in 2024, 90 sports and fitness complexes were built in Kazakhstan, most of them in rural areas.

Furthermore, by the end of 2025, it is planned to build 113 new facilities and reconstruct 26 existing sports institutions.

It has become known that to date, about 50.6 billion tenge has been allocated from the Special State Fund for the construction of four schools, a sports complex, a multi-purpose hospital complex, a dormitory, and two kindergartens.

"With funds from entities subject to the Law 'On the Return of Illegally Acquired Assets to the State,' the construction of a number of social infrastructure facilities is also underway in the cities of Arkalyk, Astana, and Almaty," the department concluded.

Recall that in October 2024, it was reported that about 3 billion tenge was planned to be allocated from the Special State Fund for the construction of a sports complex in the village of Zerenda, Akmola Region, and a music school in the village of Temirlan, Turkestan Region

At the same time, Kazakhstan has begun implementing social projects using 12 billion tenge returned to the state. One such project is the construction of a centre for modern culture in Almaty.

In November, it was reported that the government planned to allocate 7.8 billion tenge from the Special State Fund for the construction of a kindergarten for children with special needs in Aktobe.

Later, more than 28 billion tenge was allocated from this fund for the completion of a multi-disciplinary hospital complex in Ridder.

In December, the government decided to allocate over 2 billion tenge from the Special State Fund for the construction of a kindergarten for 280 places in Petropavlovsk.
