In Zhezkazgan, a serviceman was shot in the leg with a firearm.

According to some reports, he was hospitalised in the central city hospital of Zhezkazgan.
Meanwhile, the incident was commented on by the health department of the Ulytau region.

It is reported that the Ministry of Defence and the National Guard have refrained from commenting.
Recall that on 13 September, a sergeant at the Army Institute of the Land Forces in Almaty committed suicide. The deceased was not a cadet but a contracted serviceman.
On 7 September, in military unit No. 25744 of the regional command "West" in Aktau, a conscript soldier died as a result of a shot fired by the camp duty officer.
Later, a video was circulated online in which the father of the deceased claims that his son was shot in the face, allegedly by an officer.
Against the backdrop of the tragedy, concerned citizens created a petition calling for the abolition of compulsory military service. The authors believe that the abolition of conscription in Kazakhstan is becoming relevant in light of tragic incidents of servicemen's deaths.
