Sewage flooded a children's sanatorium and a hospital in Petropavlovsk

In Petropavlovsk, domestic sewage has flooded two social facilities — the children's sanatorium "Solnechny" and the multidisciplinary city hospital.

According to the Telegram channel "HALYQSTAN", due to an accident in the old sewer system, some rooms were partially flooded with sewage water, which threatened the health of patients and sanitary safety.

Eyewitnesses have posted video footage of the incident online. The footage shows the sewage flooding the sanatorium's laundry, with water approaching the rooms where medical procedures are conducted. A voice off-camera says they couldn't wait for help all day. According to the author, the sanitary services did not respond to calls for a long time.

The multidisciplinary hospital found itself in a similar situation. The facility temporarily suspended admissions, and patients from the inpatient ward were transferred to other hospitals. The exact number of transferred patients has not been specified.

It is reported that utility services are carrying out round-the-clock repair work. The emergency repairs are expected to be completed within 10 days — provided no further damage is discovered.

It will be recalled, as previously reported, that in the village of Taldybulak, Talgar district of the Almaty region, land plots and nearby farmland have been flooded with sewage for several years. Utility services refuse to take responsibility for the situation.

Local residents said that the sewage comes from several sources: the tuberculosis clinic, the "Amiran" factory in the village of Chimbulak, the "Ak Bulak" sanatorium, and new private sector developments, and then flows onto the agricultural lands of the Belbulak rural district.
