In the Zhas Kanat microdistrict of Almaty’s Turkseb District, residents of a recently built nine-storey building are complaining about cracks in the walls and falling cladding.
According to ORDA, the residents have repeatedly contacted the akimats of Almaty and the Turkseb District, but the problem remains unresolved.
It is reported that the condition of the new nine-storey building, which was handed over with numerous violations, is causing serious concern among residents. According to them, decorative cladding is falling off the facade, and the roof is leaking.
Meanwhile, local residents fear that the fallen cladding could injure children playing in the courtyard.
"There have already been recorded cases of parked cars being damaged by falling cladding, and residents are afraid that their children will be the next victims. The residents continue to push for a resolution to this problem, hoping for a swift response from the authorities before the situation escalates into a serious tragedy," the statement reads.
