Lawyer and public figure Bolat Bashzhanov demonstrated the quality of the new asphalt surface in the Prishakhtinsk microdistrict of Karaganda city.

In the published video, the thickness of the road surface on Popov Street exceeds the size of a man's palm, which provoked mixed reactions from social media users.

In connection with the publication, the editorial board of FBRK requested official data on the scale of road works in the region. In 2025, it is planned to repair 637 km of roads in the Karaganda region.

"We are in Karaganda city, Prishakhtinsk, Popov Street. <…> This is what I call asphalt. Like in Europe. I hope it lasts a long time," Bashzhanov commented on the quality of the surface.

Meanwhile, user opinions in the comments were divided. Many supported the quality of the work carried out:

"Yes, well done, they did a good job. And people still aren't happy. Well done. That's how it should be — trucks drive frequently, but overall it's brilliant."

Other users noted the importance of adhering to the technology when laying the road surface:

"Thickness isn't the main thing; what's more important is that the laying technology is followed."

According to official data, in 2025 it is planned to repair 637 km of roads in the Karaganda region. Of these, roads of national significance will account for 242 km, regional significance 84 km, and in cities, districts and villages311 km.
