Kyzylorda football club «Қайсар», privatised in autumn last year, may once again receive budget funding of almost 1 billion tenge.
WHAT THE MONEY WILL BE SPENT ON
As reported by the Telegram channel «PROTENGE», the Akimat of the Kyzylorda Region announced the procurement of services for organising the preparation and participation of the regional football team in the country's Premier League championship. The cost of the lot is 995 million tenge. The money will go, in particular, towards purchasing kit for the players, holding training camps, and paying bonuses.
QUESTIONS ABOUT BUDGET FUNDING
Last year, a similar lot worth 1.2 billion tenge went to the state enterprise «Қайсар». Our colleagues at «PROTENGE» are asking: should the regional budget continue to fund the team's participation in the national championship if the club is no longer state-owned.
Let us recall, the owner of FC «Қайсар» is entrepreneur Islamgali Kozbakov, owner of the companies «TAU Group LTD», «Alem Stroy» and a concrete plant. It was previously reported that the businessman intends to invest 12 billion tenge in the development of a youth academy and infrastructure.
