Pay compensation to a driver for a pothole in the road has been ordered from the district akimat of Karaganda.

A resident of Karaganda won a court case against the district akimat named after Kazybek bi due to a pothole in the road. 

According to informburo.kz, in March last year, a driver damaged his car while driving along Bukhar Zhyrau Avenue. A stone hit his car's windscreen from under the wheels of the vehicle in front, which had driven over the pothole. 

It is reported that the repair cost the resident 341,000 tenge. The man filed a lawsuit against the city's department of communal services, passenger transport and roads, as well as the akimat of the district named after Kazybek bi in Karaganda, seeking compensation for the damage. 

Ultimately, District Court No. 2 upheld the driver's claim, ordering the defendants to compensate for the damage. At the same time, the court instructed the city's district akimat to take measures to fix the road potholes. 

Recall that earlier, the same district akimat of Karaganda was ordered to pay for the repair of two cars damaged by a fallen tree. The cost of repair for the vehicles was 634,000 tenge and 445,000 tenge
