The Pavlodar akimat wanted to illegally build an entire microdistrict near the industrial zone.

The Akimat of Pavlodar adopted a detailed planning project (DPP) for the 'Zhasstar' microdistrict in contravention of legislative norms. The total development area was 186 hectares.

As reported by the press service of the Pavlodar region prosecutor's office, the local executive body wanted to build apartment blocks and social facilities without considering the minimum distances from industrial plants. As a result, following a supervisory notice from the agency, the illegal DPP was cancelled.

"The sanitary protection zone, which separates industrial, utility and warehouse facilities from nearby residential and civil buildings to prevent exposure to adverse factors, would have been violated," the agency explained.

Shortly before this, the regional prosecutor's office annulled the decision to build a 'Comfort School' near the Irtysh River. The proposed site for the institution was located within a protected water zone, which could have posed a risk to the health and safety of students.

It will be recalled that earlier, the economic court ruled for the demolition of the 'Nura' residential complex in Karaganda, which was built without the necessary permits and licences. Construction began without notifying the GASK (State Architectural and Construction Control Inspectorate), without approved project documentation, project expertise or technical supervision.
