A sentence has been handed down in Pavlodar to the leadership of the financial pyramid "HAS".
According to the press service of the local prosecutor's office, between 2022 and 2023, the main organiser of the scheme created and led a criminal group that attracted money under the guise of high-yield deposits.
Depositors were promised a reward of up to 70% of the profits. As a result, 376 citizens in Astana, Almaty, Pavlodar, Ekibastuz and other settlements handed over more than 2 billion tenge to the fraudsters.
The court found the founder of the financial pyramid guilty and sentenced him to 12 years in prison. The other members of the group also received various terms and types of punishment.
It will be recalled that in April 2023, it was reported that a group of individuals who organised the financial pyramid "HAS Holding" in the Pavlodar region, which presented itself as a company engaged in foreign economic activity, had been detained.
Contracts with depositors were signed on behalf of the LLP "Upgrade-AS", "Holding AS", "HAS-Logistik", "light-AS" and other companies.
