In the Zhambyl district of the Zhambyl region, a German-Kazakhstani manufacturer, KNAUF GIPS TARAZ LLP, encountered a problem obtaining a land plot.
According to the regional prosecutor's office, the investor's project worth 14.5 billion tenge involves the construction of a plant for the production of plasterboard and dry building mixes, with the creation of 100 jobs.
It is reported that the land relations department of the district akimat unlawfully refused to grant the investor an additional 20 hectares of land for the construction of the plant and the maintenance of the railway.
"Based on the results of the supervision act issued by the prosecutor's office of the Zhambyl district, the problem with obtaining the land has been positively resolved and the project implementation has continued. The guilty official has been brought to disciplinary responsibility. Work within the front office is ongoing and remains under special control," the statement reads.
It is worth recalling that earlier, a domestic investor, Atameken Agro Oils LLP, which plans to implement the project "Construction of an oil extraction plant" worth 19.4 billion tenge with the creation of 252 jobs, faced a problem with flooding of the production site due to faulty sewage.
