Zhaslan Madiev has been appointed as the new Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry (MDDIAI). The corresponding decree was signed by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

In 2022, Madiev held the post of Vice Minister of the MDDIAI for nine months. He then moved to the position of General Manager at Binance Kazakhstan, where he worked until today.

Meanwhile, it was recently reported that Kazakhstan had abolished the Committee of Geodesy and Cartography of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and created a new department - the Committee of Artificial Intelligence and Innovation Development of the MDDIAI.

The corresponding government resolution of 27 April 2024 "On some issues of the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan" was published on the IS "Jurist" portal.

Recall that last week it became known that the President signed a decree dismissing Bagdat Musin from his post as Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of Kazakhstan.

Some media report that the former Minister of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry, Bagdat Musin, was effectively dismissed.

At the same time, a source from another media outlet stated that criminal cases have been opened against ex-Minister Bagdat Musin.
