In the Zhambyl Region, water supply projects are continuing to be implemented using funds from the Special State Fund. The government allocated 15.4 billion tenge for these purposes. A total of 12 projects are planned, of which four have already been completed, and the remaining eight are scheduled to be handed over before the end of the current year.

According to the government press service, construction has been completed in the villages of Kyzylsharyk, Zhanaotkel, and Zhuma in the Zhambyl District. Furthermore, in the Talas District, a water supply system has been commissioned in the village of Karoi, where more than 300 people live. Previously, there was no centralised water supply there.

The cost of the project amounted to 933.4 million tenge, of which 106.7 million tenge was financed from the Special State Fund.

Work is continuing on eight more facilities, which are scheduled for handover before the end of the year. In the Moyynkum District, networks are being reconstructed at the Shyganak, Myrnal, and Kumozek stations, as well as in the villages of Moyynkum, Binazar, and Birlik.

In the Sarysu District, the water supply system is being renovated in the villages of Zhayylma and Mayatas. In the Korday District, networks are being built in the village of Karasay Batyr.

It is noted that in the region's cities, the provision of drinking water to the population has reached 98%, and in rural areas — 99.3%. A total of 23 water supply projects are being implemented in the region, of which 13 have already been commissioned.

Similar work is being carried out across the country. From the republican budget this year, 105.7 billion tenge was allocated for the implementation of 257 projects in the water supply sector. Additionally, using funds from the Special State Fund, a further 135.8 billion tenge was directed towards the construction and modernisation of 229 facilities.

Recall that in May, the government made a decision to allocate 319.5 million tenge from the Special State Fund to complete the construction of two medical outpatient clinics in the Korday and Talas districts of the Zhambyl Region.
