Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov signed a decree allocating over 2.5 billion tenge from the government reserve for repair and restoration work on heating networks in the East Kazakhstan Region.
According to the department's press service, the funds will be directed towards completing repair work on heating networks in the city of Ridder and the village of K. Kaysenova in the Ulan District.
The bulk of the sum is planned to be used for the overhaul of 5.9 km of the most worn-out sections of Ridder's heating networks. 113 million tenge has already been allocated for the implementation of the second phase of reconstruction of heating networks, stretching 9 km, in the village of K. Kaysenova.
It has become known that in the populated areas of the East Kazakhstan Region, the heating networks have been in operation for over 30 years and during this time no major reconstruction has been carried out there. The average level of wear exceeds 55%, and in some populated areas it amounts to over 75%. Overall, over two years, the wear has decreased from 82% to 66.8%.
Recall that in April last year, about 16 billion tenge was allocated from the government reserve for the reconstruction and overhaul of heat sources in Kentau, Ridder and Kyzylorda.
In July, Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov familiarised himself with the progress of the reconstruction of the Ridder thermal power plant and instructed the Ministry of Energy, together with the regional akimat, to keep this issue under special supervision.
