In Shymkent, cadets from the Bauryzhan Momyshuly Ministry of Internal Affairs Training Centre were injured by the explosion of a stun grenade during a training session.
According to Informburo.kz, five people were injured.
"This incident occurred during planned training activities. An investigation is underway to establish all the circumstances of the incident," said the press service of the Shymkent Police Department.
It is noted that two cadets are in hospital.
"At present, two cadets are receiving treatment in a medical facility. Their condition is stable," the statement said.
It will be recalled that in September it was reported that a soldier in Mangystau had taken his own life. The deceased contract serviceman, born in 1985, was serving in one of the military units of the Aktau Garrison. His body was found in the apartment where he lived.
In October, in the stairwell of an apartment block in Shakhtinsk, a serviceman of the National Guard of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was found hanging by a belt.
In November, the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported the death of a conscript soldier in the East Kazakhstan Region. According to preliminary information, he committed suicide. Media at the time reported that the 19-year-old soldier had shot himself twice in the head with an AK-47.
Later, in a military unit of the Zharkent Garrison in the Zhetysu Region, during unscheduled counter-sabotage safety training, an officer died.
