34 children suffered food poisoning at a private nursery in the Keles District of the Turkestan Region. According to the Kazinform news agency, law enforcement authorities have initiated criminal proceedings.
It has become known that the children began to feel unwell after breakfast. Nursery staff called an ambulance and provided first aid. The children were then hospitalised, and their condition is being closely monitored by doctors.
It is reported that the case of the children's poisoning is under the oversight of the Department of Education of the Turkestan Region.
"An inspection was carried out by the district sanitary and epidemiological surveillance department. The composition of the porridge and the milk given to the children for breakfast have been sent for expert analysis. The condition of the children in hospital is being carefully monitored by doctors. In connection with this situation, criminal proceedings have been initiated by the Keles District Police Department," the statement reads.
Earlier, it should be recalled, in the Kyzylzhar district of the North Kazakhstan Region, a family of five suffered poisoning after consuming products bought from a shop. Two children, aged 3 and 6, died.
