One of the most prestigious private schools in Astana, «Miras», has recorded a mass poisoning of children. The incident came to light in the evening, when many students began to show relevant symptoms. While the school administration conducts an internal investigation, the editorial team of FBRK decided to find out more about the contractor company.
HOW THE EVENTS UNFOLDED
The first reports of illness started coming in from parents in the evening. On 1 February 2026, journalist Mikhail Kozachkov reported this on his Telegram channel «Kozachkov offside». 
In parent chat groups, complaints appeared about poisoning symptoms in children: abdominal pain, nausea, and fever. Parents began discussing possible causes and sharing information about their children's conditions. Some reported calling an ambulance, while others noted a sudden rise in temperature.
THE ADMINISTRATION'S RESPONSE
The administration of the «Miras» school confirmed the incident. An official statement says that the administration and canteen staff are aware of what has happened. The school's medical service, together with the management of the company «Noble foods», is conducting an investigation into the situation. 
Parents have been promised updates on the results of the inspection and the measures taken.
WHAT IS KNOWN ABOUT THE CONTRACTOR
The FBRK editorial team decided to find out more about the contractor company - «Noble foods» LLP, and uncovered some very interesting details.
According to data from the kompra.kz service, the company is engaged in «other food service activities not classified elsewhere». However, «Noble foods» LLP was registered only two months ago, on 5 December 2025, in Almaty.
The founder and director of the company is Roza Kirina. In its two months of existence, the company has not left any traces in open sources; information about both the organisation itself and its director is absent. Roza Kirina also does not own any other companies.
It is worth noting, however, that at the same address as the LLP, a branch of the «NNEF Public Foundation» in Almaty, the «Miras International School», is also registered. Geolocation shows that this is the school's own building.
All these facts suggest that the company may have been created specifically to serve the «Miras» school, rather than being an independent, experienced contractor with a track record in the catering industry.
We also assume that, given the incident, the parents of the poisoned children may well have questions about the criteria for selecting the supplier, especially one with such limited experience.
At the same time, it is important to note that, until the results of the official investigation are received, it would be premature to assign blame to any specific party.
As of now, no information has been received regarding the number of affected children or the severity of their condition.
