The management of Shymkent dendropark is accused of embezzling 14 million.

The management of Shymkent's arboretum is suspected of embezzling budget funds.

As reported on his Facebook page by the head of Shymkent's Anti-Corruption Department, Dauren Yergarin, the director, head of HR, and chief accountant of the State Public Utility Enterprise "Shymkent State Dendrological Park named after A. Askarov" are suspected of embezzling 14.7 million tenge.

The suspects fully confessed their guilt during the investigation and compensated for the damage caused. The city prosecutor's office has referred the criminal case to court.

Recall that earlier, Mazhilis deputy Bakytzhan Bazarbek wrote that a lawsuit had been filed for the return of previously alienated land plots of Shymkent's arboretum.

Then it was reported that 0.29 hectares of land from the arboretum, which had been illegally alienated by decisions of the Shymkent city akimat, were returned. It also became known that a further 0.6 hectares of the park's former land are planned to be returned in the future.
