In May, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Security Committee, coordinated by the General Prosecutor's Office, conducted an operation to detain the leader and members of a criminal group in Kyzylorda.
As reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, those detained had a negative impact on the crime situation in the region. The collection of evidence was complicated by the presence of multiple criminal connections.
It is noted that to achieve their goals, the perpetrators kidnapped people, seized property, and also took part in criminal showdowns.
The department is investigating the involvement of group members in the protection of entertainment venues, extortion in the construction and agricultural sectors.
It is reported that firearms and traumatic weapons, as well as a large sum of money, were seized from those arrested.
