Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov stated at an expanded government meeting that the Kazakhstani cancer drug will be registered by the end of 2025.
According to Informburo.kz, Bektenov noted that the second phase of clinical trials for the drug is currently underway.
"The drug targets cellular nutrition and disrupts the nutritional process of cancer cells", the statement reads.
It has been reported that in December 2024, the Kazakhstani anti-cancer drug successfully completed the first two phases of trials.
"The first stage of the clinical study using low doses of DVC was completed in 2023. This was followed by the second stage of the clinical study to identify the maximum tolerated dose of the drug: with single and multiple administrations, up to 36 injections. Upon completion of the main stages of the Phase I/II clinical study, reporting documents will be prepared to obtain permission to conduct the Phase III clinical study", the Prime Minister stated.
