The Prosecutor's Office of the Karaganda Region conducted an inspection in Centres for the Provision of Special Social Services and identified violations of the rights of incapacitated citizens.

According to the press service of the department, the Centre's employees irrationally spent the pensions and benefits of those under their care.

It is reported that they purchased goods at inflated prices, which sometimes doubled the market value. The damage exceeded 15 million tenge.

In addition, the Centre's workers unjustifiably bought dietary supplements for more than 70 million tenge

At the same time, in one of the Centres, a case of illegal termination of pregnancy of a person under care was identified. The Prosecutor's Office launched a pre-trial investigation into all these incidents.

Recall that at the end of August, a video appeared online showing how, at the Kostanay Children's Centre for the Provision of Special Social Services, a man used kicks and a stick to urge a child on a treadmill.

The Department for the Coordination of Employment and Social Services stated that they had taken appropriate measures and punished those responsible.

In August last year, 6 employees of the Centre for the Provision of Special Social Services in Kokshetau presented fake medical certificates when undergoing a medical examination for employment.

The Kokshetau Police Department launched a pre-trial investigation into the forgery of an official document.
