In Kokshetau, the illegal spending of state funds in the amount of 78 million tenge was prevented.
According to the press service of the Prosecutor's Office of the Akmola Region, a local school planned to carry out roof repairs using budgetary funds.
It is noted that the building is under warranty, as it was commissioned only a year and a half ago. For this reason, all repair work must be carried out at the contractor's expense.
As a result, the prosecutor's office issued a supervisory act, under which the public procurement was cancelled, and those responsible were held accountable. The saved budgetary funds were directed towards the implementation of other social programmes.
Recall that earlier it was reported that from January to April 2024, the Anti-Corruption Service prevented the inefficient spending of budgetary funds amounting to 12.4 billion tenge. It was noted that the most common violations included inflated costs for fuel and lubricants (23%), stationery (19%), food products (6%), and premises rental (6%).
