In the Kostanay region, the prosecutor's office uncovered illegal tree felling and the concealment of a forest fire in two forestry enterprises. Employees, including the heads of the institutions, have been held administratively and disciplinarily liable, and the damage to the state has been compensated.

VIOLATIONS IN THE ARKARAGAI FORESTRY ENTERPRISE

In the Arkaragai forestry institution, a sanitary felling of trees blown down by the wind had not been completed since April 2020. This created conditions for the spread of diseases and pests. The total damage from the identified violations amounted to over 1 million tenge.

Employees of the institution, including its head, were held administratively liable. The damage to the state has been fully compensated. In addition, the prosecutor's office recorded numerous cases of non-compliance with forest fire safety rules.

CONCEALMENT OF A FIRE IN THE UZUNKOL FORESTRY ENTERPRISE

In the Uzunkol forestry institution, the administration attempted to classify a forest fire as a steppe fire. For the inspection, data from space monitoring, information from emergency authorities, and the committee for forestry and wildlife of the Republic of Kazakhstan were used.

Based on the inspection results, the distortions in official reporting were corrected, the damage was compensated, and the head of the institution, Y.A. Komarov, was held disciplinarily liable.
