In the Pavlodar region, a farm LLP "Ushterek and K" illegally used liquid waste on irrigated fields without the required environmental permit.

According to Kursiv.media, an inspection revealed that the farm not only violated requirements for obtaining an environmental permit, but also released polluting substances into the atmosphere that were not accounted for in regulatory documents.

For reference: Liquid waste is waste in a liquid or semi-liquid state that results from domestic, agricultural, industrial, or municipal activities. It can contain both organic and inorganic substances and often poses a danger to the environment and human health.

As a result of the inspection, LLP "Ushterek and K" was fined more than 630,000 tenge. An order was also issued to eliminate the identified violations.

Additionally, the Department of Ecology completed an unscheduled inspection of the branch of LLP "Kazakhstan Waste Management Operator" in Ekibastuz. Waste was found to have been placed outside specially designated areas. An administrative fine of 197,000 tenge was imposed for this violation, and an official order was issued.

As a reminder, in June we reported on how police officers in the Kokpektinsky district of the Abay region used unmanned aerial vehicles to identify illegal landfills as part of the national initiative "Taza Kazakhstan" and the departmental programme "Police for Cleanliness".
