Anti-Corruption Department of Pavlodar Region has completed an investigation into a case against employees of the Pavlodar Department of Employment and Social Programmes. They are suspected of embezzling budget funds allocated for the payment of services of individual assistants to accompany people with disabilities.

"According to Article 10 of the Law 'On Civil Service', heads of state bodies must prevent corruption offences by subordinate civil servants", the department's press service reports.

As a result, the head of the Pavlodar Department of Employment and Social Programmes, together with his deputy, received strict reprimands for corruption offences committed by their subordinates.

Recall that earlier, after our appeal to the Agency for Civil Service Affairs, officials of the Zhetysu region were brought to disciplinary responsibility. Chief specialist of the land cadastre department of the land relations office Samat Zhumatayev received a reprimand.

It all began when the editorial board of FBKK needed to contact the Land Relations Office of the Zhetysu Region. After calling the officials' contact numbers listed on the department's official website, we had a rather unpleasant conversation

Subsequently, we appealed to the Agency for Civil Service Affairs with a request to assess the behaviour of the Zhetysu region officials when communicating with journalists. In the end, a conflict that could have been avoided resulted in publicity for the office's employees and intervention by the regulatory body.
