In the Ulytau region, 15 officials were brought to administrative responsibility for violating environmental legislation.
According to the press service of the regional prosecutor's office, department employees identified 125 cases of failure to submit reports on the results of industrial environmental control to the authorised body.
Among the violators: subsoil users, utility companies, and akims of rural districts who are in charge of solid household waste landfills, among others.
In connection with these facts, the prosecutor's office initiated 20 administrative cases against 11 akims of rural districts in the Zhanararkin district of the Ulytau region.
"Currently, based on the prosecutor's supervision report, the Department of Ecology is taking measures to bring other natural resource users to administrative responsibility," the statement reads.
Furthermore, the heads of the Department of Ecology, the Departments of Veterinary Medicine, Entrepreneurship, and Industry of the Ulytau region were held responsible for failing to comply with the prosecutor's demands.
The guilty parties have fully paid the imposed fines totalling 4.6 million tenge.
Let us recall that earlier in the Akmola region, the akim of the Yesil district, Serik Balzhanov, was fined for failing to provide information. The akim received a court request but did not comply with it.
In July, following an audit of the efficiency of the use of state resources, officials and employees of the akimat of the Zhetysu region were held accountable. As a result, 2 individuals were dismissed from their posts, another 6 received reprimands, and 2 received warnings. Additionally, 2 officials were brought to administrative responsibility.
