In Taraz, officers of the National Security Committee's department detained the head of one of the divisions of the Organised Crime Control Department (OCCD) of the police department for Zhambyl region, Almat Tulenbayev. According to preliminary information, he is suspected of attempting to sell narcotic drugs.
As reported by the Telegram channel «HALYQSTAN», it concerns two kilogrammes of hashish. Information about the weight of the seized substance, as well as the alleged sale, has not been officially confirmed at this time.
It is also unknown to whom exactly the suspect intended to sell the drugs. Furthermore, the question of the origin of the seized substance remains unanswered. No official comments on these circumstances have been received so far.
It is worth recalling that earlier in the Zhambyl region, officers of the KNSC detained the senior operational officer of the Baizak district police department, Major Zhasulan Yelubay. He is suspected of receiving 700 thousand tenge in exchange for a promise to drop a criminal case concerning livestock theft.
