The head of a branch of the financial pyramid «Chia Tai Pharmaceutical» has been convicted in the West Kazakhstan Region. Under the guise of investing in a pharmaceutical plant, she illegally attracted depositors' money, promising high returns from the enterprise's activities.
«A native of the Chingirlau district of the West Kazakhstan Region, from September 2022 to April 2023, joined the financial pyramid "Chia Tai Pharmaceutical" and took a leadership position in its structural subdivision», the regional court press service reported.
As a result of the financial pyramid's activities, victims in the West Kazakhstan Region suffered material damage of more than 180 million tenge.
The court found the defendant guilty and sentenced her to 5 years in prison, with a ban on holding leadership positions in financial organisations and being a participant in them for a period of 5 years. The damages caused were fully recovered in favour of the victims.
Recall that in July of last year, it became known that the damage caused by the financial pyramid "Chia Tai Tianqing" to residents of the West Kazakhstan Region exceeded 769 million tenge. In October 2023, it was reported that in the East Kazakhstan Region, depositors of "Chia Tai Pharmaceutical" lost 350 million tenge.
In November 2023, the AFM reported the completion of the investigation into the head of the Shymkent branch of the financial pyramid "Chia Tai Tianging", 200 depositors of which suffered damage amounting to 700 million tenge.
In September of this year, a sentence was handed down in Astana to the head of the capital's branch of the financial pyramid «Chia Tai Pharmaceutical». The defendant attracted depositors' funds under the guise of investing in a pharmaceutical plant, and then misappropriated them. As a result, 12 victims lost 29.2 million tenge.
In October, it was reported that in the Turkestan Region, 279 depositors of the financial pyramid «Chia Tai Tianging Pharmaceutical Group» suffered damage amounting to 391.7 million tenge.
