A criminal case against the organisers of the financial pyramid «Chia Tai Tianging Pharmaceutical Group» will be heard in court.
According to the Turkestan Regional Prosecutor's Office, the financial pyramid «Chia Tai Tianging Pharmaceutical Group» operated in the Tolebi District from 2022 to 2023.
The results of the pre-trial investigation established the involvement of 20 individuals. As a result of their actions, 279 victims suffered losses totalling 391.7 million tenge.
During the investigation, property obtained through criminal means by the suspects was seized.
It will be recalled that in April last year, the AFM reported on the investigation of 17 criminal cases concerning the financial pyramid «Chia Tai Tianqing», whose branches operated across almost the entire territory of Kazakhstan. The total damage amounted to 7 billion tenge.
In July, it became known that the damage caused by «Chia Tai Tianqing» to residents of the West Kazakhstan Region alone exceeded 769 million tenge.
In October, it was reported that in the East Kazakhstan Region, investors in «Chia Tai Pharmaceutical» lost 350 million tenge.
In November last year, the AFM announced the conclusion of the investigation into the head of the Shymkent branch of the «Chia Tai Tianging» financial pyramid, 200 investors of which suffered losses amounting to 700 million tenge.
In September of this year, a sentence was handed down in Astana to the head of the capital's branch of the «Chia Tai Pharmaceutical» financial pyramid. The defendant raised funds from investors under the guise of investing in a pharmaceutical plant, and then misappropriated them. As a result, 12 victims lost 29.2 million tenge.
